Here in Loudoun County, we’re thrilled to welcome a hometown success story. Frye’s Famous Crab Cake Co. has opened its first Loudoun location this month, bringing a taste of the Chesapeake right to Ashburn’s doorstep.
Owner Brandon Frye—along with store manager Keilyn—cut the ribbon at 44650 Waxpool Road in the Ashburn Eats restaurant plaza. Loudoun County Supervisor Glass joined the festivities, along with Brandon’s dad, family, and longtime friends. It’s a celebration of more than just great food—it’s one more sign of how our community continues to grow and support local ventures.
Brandon’s journey to opening this spot is as rich as his crab cakes. He grew up working in his father’s restaurant in Alexandria, learning the ropes and stirring pots alongside his sister. Later, he spent nine years filming “Food Dude USA,” showcasing his love for culinary exploration. All that experience led him back to his roots, perfecting a homemade crab cake recipe that’s now getting attention on its own.
Plus, this Ashburn location marks a big milestone—it’s Frye’s second location overall, proof that Loudoun’s food scene is ready for something fresh and flavorful. For us here, it’s exciting to see a business scaling up just as we’re seeing growth in our neighborhoods—without losing that hometown feel.
Want to dive into a crab cake that’s been shaped by personal history, passion, and on-camera talent? Frye’s right here in Ashburn is ready for you.
