Funded through an assortment of financial instruments, including a Virginia Housing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) from The Richman Group Affordable Housing Corporation and Discover Bank, Tax-Exempt bond financing via Virginia Housing, a contribution from the Loudoun County Housing Trust Fund, and several loans and grants aimed at supporting affordable and energy-efficient housing, Waxpool Apartments sets a new benchmark in affordable living.

The building is recognized by four independent green building certifications, highlighting its environmentally friendly features such as an 85,000 annual KWH solar array on the rooftop. Waxpool Apartments will provide a total of 52 income-restricted rental units, including a mix of one and two-bedroom layouts designed to accommodate individuals and families earning between 30-60% of the area median income.
