Leesburg, VA (October 31, 2023) – In a significant step towards bolstering the town’s economic landscape, the Leesburg Town Council unanimously embraced a new Economic Development and Tourism Strategic Plan at their meeting on October 24, 2023.
Aiming to chart a clear path forward for the town’s economic endeavors, this initiative saw the birth of the Leesburg Economic Development and Tourism Strategic Plan. With an objective to lend direction and offer a structured implementation blueprint, the Town enlisted the expertise of Better City, a consultancy specializing in economic development.
This strategic endeavor, supplanting the former plan articulated in 2003, was sculpted through a harmonious coalition of minds. The development process took into account input from local stakeholders, drew insights from both contemporary and past studies, and scrutinized a wealth of economic, demographic, and business data. Crafted meticulously, the strategies encapsulated in the plan echo the pulse of the current economic milieu. The intention is to leverage the town’s intrinsic strengths and distinctive personality.
